Find Your Fit!

Belt sizing can be tricky - there are no universal guidelines.

There are three easy ways to determine your belt size:

1. Measure an existing belt

2. Use our recommended Sizing Chart

3. Measure on a pair of pants

1) Measure an existing belt

2) Size Chart

If you’ll usually wear your belt with high-rise pants or dresses, err towards a smaller size. If you’ll usually wear your belt at the hips, err towards a larger size..

  • TIP: Don’t focus on numbers - a larger belt can be more versatile (i.e. more holes) than a smaller belt (won’t close).

Our general collection goes up to 44”, but we can make any size belt for you, just reach out!

3) Measure on a pair of pants

Put on your favorite pair of pants or jeans, thread a soft tape measure all the way through the belt loops (like a belt) and note the measurement in inches.

  • If you get an odd number, round up.
  • If you get an even number, order that size.

Keep in mind: Jeans at your waist will measure very differently than jeans at your hips, be sure to measure according to where you want your new belt to lay.

Cuff Sizing

  • Our cuffs are all unisex and have at least two sets of holes for adjustment points.
  • For most accurate sizing, wrap a string around your wrist and hold it against a ruler or tape measure to get wrist circumference. Pair that number with the below.

Suggestions from our team!

Betsy (woman - smaller waist, larger hips): “I wear a 26-28 in jeans and a 4/6 pants. I mostly wear a 32 belt, but have a 34 as well for my looser, low-rise jeans. They both fit, the only difference is which hole I use. I also have one size 30 for fancier dresses and wear my tie belt (style 019) with casual dresses all the time…and I always get compliments.”

Claire (woman): “I have ‘no waist’. I usually wear a size 8-10 in women’s pants (or stretchy jeans). And I always buy a 34 in the belts.”

Penelope (woman): “I’m usually a size 8 or 10 in pants, and I’m tall. I’d say my waist is normal proportion to my body, and I find the size 36 fits me perfectly.”

Gerry (man): I’m usually a size 32 or 33 pants. I wear a size 36 belt, as I like having enough “tail” when I fasten it.

Alan (man): “I’ve quickly gone from a casual belt wearer to someone who wears my Old Stud belts every single day. I’m usually a 32 in pants and my belt are size 34. The size is perfect.”

Callie (woman): “I’m usually a 10 or 12 in women’s pants, but I’m more of a square shape. The 36 belt fit me perfectly and allowed me to use different holes for different pants. I also like to wrap the long tie belt - Style 020 - through my jeans or over a coat.”

Joseph (man): “I wear belts way low, under my stomach - and I wear a size XXX

Jay (man): “I’m usually a size 32 in jeans, but I like wearing my pants low and my belts big, so I mostly wear size 36 belts.”
